Description:

This was found in a damp dark canyon in Zion National Park. I don't know much about it. It seemed to have a "barb" to deter predators.

The markings look different. The first might be the correct one. I'll look into it more tomorrow. Thank you for the suggestions, it would have taken me a while to figure it out!
OK, came back... You also might check this one: http://bugguide.net/node/view/600335/bgpage Capnobotes fulginosus, female. Can we separate from each other? Me definitely not, so you might check the range of both or just take Capnobotes sp. as ID to be on the safe side. What do you think?
Thank you Bayucca.
Tettigoniidae, Tettigoniinae, Capnobotes sp. and looks like being Capnobotes occidentalis, female. Please, verify!! Quick ID!
Can anyone ID this? I'm curious what is was...
