Description:

With a body length of about 85 mm the Fiery Emperor (also known as the
Magnificent Emperor) is one of the largest dragonflies you can come across in srilanka .It's unhurried, king-of-the-hill flight and its formidable hunting skills make it a impressive dragonfly to observe - Standing in a river or mountain stream and seeing this beautiful insect drifting low and slowly towards you is a wonderful experience.
