Description:

They are blue in colour, hence their name: bluebottle. They are also called bottle bee or blue flies. They lay their eggs on decomposing matter and animal carcasses.

Habitat:

They live in tropical areas with warm climate, they mostly live in urbanized locations due the abundance of food.
