Congratulations Albert, this tiny beauty is our Spotting of the Day! Thanks for continuing bringing incredible underwater treasures to Project Noah! "It's the size of a thimble! This jellyfish (Linuche aquila) is our Spotting of the Day! This small crown jellyfish in the family Linuchidae can be found in aggregates often near the water surface in the Pacific and Indian oceans. It is covered with symbiotic zooxanthellae, photosynthetic organisms which provide their host with most of their energy needs. In return, they receive nutrients, carbon dioxide, and an elevated position with access to sunshine. Spotted in the Philippines by Albert Kang.
