Gosh - I do think you are right - I would have never got it. I have been caught out by juvenile birds before so will now consider that when trying to identify(also breeding colours, male / female - it's not easy is it! :-) I will update spotting. Many thanks.
Awesome spotting... maybe this is a juvenile hawk, Buteogallus sp.? Just a guess!
