Description:
Grasshopper with a prominent cream coloured stripe down the dorsal midline. The rest of the body is green plus dark stripes down the sides of the cream-coloured stripe.
Habitat:
Suntaley Khola is a remote hilly and forested area by the River Murty. This grasshopper was spotted in the weeds lining the verge of the only road leading to the resort we stayed in.
Notes:
Great jumper that is even better at camouflage.
There were many grasshoppers but whether different species or the same one at different stages of development is difficult for me to say.
