Field Notes

Description:

About 55mm acroos open wings; mostly white with some black markings on top of the wings; the underwings show more dark markings enclosing white or chrome yellow.

Habitat:

Exploring flowers in outer suburban back yard.

Notes:

Family: Pieridae
Found in Australia, Indonesia, and Melanesia.
Often confused with the common cabbage white. (Pieris rapae)
