Owl Fly
Acheron trux trux
17.22, 103.32
Field Notes
Description:
THIS IS NOT A DRAGONFLY!!
It is an Owl Fly, of the Neuroptera order, the same where Ant Lions belong to, and other lacewings.
It came to my house, had a rest on the wall at the back, and left after a while. I have been of the impression that it was a dragonfly, until it was pointed out today that it's an Owl Fly. That explains the antennae
Habitat:
Around my house
