Field Notes

Description:

A spotting of green spored parasol. These pop up occasionally in the yards here in Kansas, and are a cause for alarm for many pet owners. It's toxic nature causing gastrointestinal problems. Fully fruited, the green spored parasol extends its cap length to 40 cm in diameter. Pretty impressive.

Habitat:

Found often on lawns and forests across North America and reportedly other countries as well.

Notes:

One of the common names for this mushroom is the vomiter, and I find that hilarious.
