Field Notes

Description:

A small attractive black moth with a wing span of about 20 mm. wings were tented and fringed along the trailing margins. Fore wings had three narrow bands of white and smaller white flecks. Labial palps were re-curved. Antennae medium sized with ? banded tips. Legs showed black and white bands.

Habitat:

Spotted under bright lights.
The larvae of these moths are said to feed on wattle buds and pods.
