Field Notes

Description:

Purpleish gray color, with blue banded dorsal and anal fins, white ring at the base. The outer pectoral fins are yellow, the short scalpe is surrounded by pale blue, and has a broad stripe in the front that starts black and ends up yellow.

Habitat:

I found this one in shallow waters but it was right next to a cliff. It lives near coral reefs at depths ranging from 16–295 ft.
