Description:

And....the little spider wins! The Common House Spider is a type of Cobweb Spider. This one is a mottled brown/white coloration with light brown banding on the legs. He has large pedipalps that indicate he is a male. The prey is a male spider Castianeira longipalpa, part of the Antmimic and Ground Sac Spider family.

Habitat:

Suburban yard. Under the edge of the siding of the house.
