Field Notes

Description:

Nocturnal, around 4cm. The body shape is a bit confusing as to what is bug and what is branch. Antenna are two to three times body length.

Habitat:

At the time of discovery it was on the flower of the Bottlebrush or Callistemon in a planting of native woods in a community play ground. It dropped off the flower as soon as I annoyed it and became even more difficult to photograph in a twig pile under the flowering area
