Field Notes

Description:

Cap 2.5 to 3 inches in diameter, convex, cream colored, darkening to light yellow in center; thin, subtly ribbed; one notch, one perforation; abraded center; somewhat serrated margin. Gills cream colored with light brownish pink edges, close, attached, adnexed. Stalk ~ 0.25 inch thick and 3 to 4 inches long; cream colored, darkening slightly toward base; equal; texture rough, possibly abraded.

Habitat:

Lowland insular tropical mesic mixed forest.

Notes:

Spotted along the Upper Waimano Trail in south central Oahu between a third and a half mile from the trailhead during a group hike, so it was not possible to make detailed observations. Images recorded but no measurements made; specimen not collected. Above description based on inspection of images.
