Amazingly bright blue damselfly spotted while walking along Mapledurham, Oxfordshire. These damselflies are amazingly beautiful =D

Hi patty! Only two species of damselfly in Britain have adult males with obviously coloured wings. They both belong to the genus Calopteryx: Calopteryx virgo and Calopteryx splendens.
