Description:

The Carolina Praying Mantis is a common species. They are most common in, North Carolina and South Carolina, it is also found in Mexico and South America. The male and female look very different, for example a female can grow to 5 or 6 centimeters, it has short wings, is big and heavy, and can not fly. The males have long wings, is small and light, active, can grow to 4 or 5 centimeters, and can fly. Usually, both females and males have green, grey, or brown bodies, are narrow at the thorax, the antennas are thin, and have bulbous eyes. One last thing about the Carolina Praying Mantis is that you could get them mixed up with a Stereotypical mantis.

Habitat:

We found the mantis case on a fence in a field.
