Description:

Small sized Frogfish, around 5 cm in size, almost all white in colour quite similar to the sponge surrounding that it is calling home. This was seen in a tunnel under Gato Island. Frogfishes are ambushes predators and they can stay still for long period of time, waiting for their prey to swim closer to them before they lunged and swallow their prey, mostly smaller fishes, whole.

Habitat:

Usually, they hangs around sponges and adapt similar colouration with the sponge they are hanging out at. It is been documented that Frogfishes has the ability to change their colours to suit/adapt to their surroundings, but this doesn't happens immediately but rather over a period of days.
