Description:

The red cap is 8 cm wide, with a shape ranging from convex in young specimens https://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/185917644 to flattened with a central depression. As its name implies, it is inedible, though not very toxic.

Habitat:

Spruce forest.

Notes:

Norwegian name: R⁠ødkremle
