Two moths we found "stuck" together. They are still alive and trying to fly around!!

Pieridae/Whites, Pierinae, Pieris sp. and most probably Pieris rapae. http://bugguide.net/node/view/742020/bgimage http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pieris_rapae Intersting observation of a late mating in autumn. It is actually a butterfly, if you look at the clubbed antennae. And it is a female, probably the one in the front, and a male during mating. Moths usually have feathery-like or filamentous-straight antennae without clubs at the tip.
