Description:

Beautiful, iridescent gray butterfly with orange spots. The top of the wings are coppery-gray.

Cape Honeysuckle in the backyard

Thank you Jim. I asked BugGuide and they agree with S. melinus. Now that I know there's a possibility of S. bebrycia, I'll be sure to check the reference you provided :)
