Yes, @Felix Fleck, I saw a lot of them, and different variety. They seems to gather in large groups too and when approached, they will 'vibrate', quite a sight to see :D
I also saw a number of these guys in Costa Rica, but haven't been able to ID them. I think they might belong to the Cosmetidae family https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cosmetidae
