Description:

The world's largest member of the waterfowl family, and the largest living bird native to North America. Trumpeters are all white, but can gain some rust color on their head and neck in iron-rich portions of Alaska. The black beak and eyes of trumpeter swans appear to merge.

Habitat:

Freshwater lakes and ponds.
