Description:

Unlike their larger relatives the rollers and the dwellers, this dung beetle is so tiny with its body length of only 3 to 4 mm. They are classified as tunnelers, instead of rolling dung in a spherical shape, they cut dung in an irregular shape several times bigger than their body and push it towards their dug out or tunnel.

Habitat:

Usually found in coastal areas on sand bars.
