Field Notes

Description:

A brown gilled fungus with a jagged edge of the cap.
The gills are covered with collembola (springtails).

Habitat:

In a group of three fruiting bodies on a recently burned stump.
The habitat was a small section of clear felled forest being prepared for revegetation
