Field Notes

Description:

While snake-like in looks, glass lizards can be told apart by their ear openings and presence of eyelids. This guy was right around 2 feet in length, and shades of brown and tan with faint black stripes going down the sides.

Habitat:

Found on the road in night in coastal dune habitat.
