Description:
A beautiful moth of abut 2 cm in length which curls the tip of the abdomen to the side. The olive green and white coloring make this moth look like a large excreta from a bird. The antennae are wide, combed and orange. Family Bombycidae, American Silkworm Moth, with the common name of Drury's Greasy Roller.
Habitat:
Came to an ultraviolet light set up along the highway on a cliff between San Cristobal de Las Casas and Tuxtla Gutierrez, km 18.5, 1164 meters elevation.
