Field Notes

Description:

This mantis flew through our car window as we were moving. He crawled up my pant leg while my husband pulled over, I put up the window so I could take pictures for Noah.
Slender green body with a triangular head and long legs

Habitat:

Fields, bushes. Have seen them before, but this is my first one for Noah. They originated in Southern Europe where I was. They came to America on a boat in Nursery plants in 1899

Notes:

I am perfectly aware that we have many good pictures of Mantis on Noah, but I was excited because this one literally flew into my lap and the first I had seen since joining Noah!
