Description:

a flowering shrub from the month of March bearing a red to dark violet fruits when rippend on July to September with very sharp thorns on the branches.

Habitat:

From most countries in Asia especially India.

Notes:

Fruits contain Iron which use for treatment of anemia and a fair amount of vitamin c, also with pectin which good for making pickles, jelly and jam.

the roots of these plant are heavily branched making it valuable for stabilizing eroding slopes.
