Description:

An adult and caterpillar (obviously taken at different times and a different animal) of the buckeye butterfly. I actually didn't realize the caterpillar was a buckeye caterpillar until I was doing my research on buckeyes. They have odd feeding habits, such as caterpillars only eating plants that produce glycosides. Very beautiful species.
