Description:

Most Manakins have a lek-mating system where males perform elaborate courtship displays to attract females. The female is dull green overall with yellow highlights on the face and belly.

Habitat:

Golden-winged Manakin are a family of small, largely frugivorous songbirds that live in the tropics of the Americas. They occur in middle elevations in the northern Andes from Venezuela to northern Peru.

Notes:

This species feeds primarily on small fruits, which are obtained in short sallies.
