Description:

This self seeding annual weed in the aster family is about 3 feet tall, has compound toothed simple Lance-shaped leaves, yellow disk flowers with bracts

Habitat:

Open field on urban schoolyard

Notes:

This plant covers our open field and is the bane of any who pass by in the fall and brush up against it. They come away covered with barbed seeds and you have to pick them off one at a time.
