Field Notes

Description:

Chickadee species that really calls out their name. Gray brown back and gray wings, buff underneath. White breast, face and eyebrows. Black throat, crown and eye mask. Sometimes with this eye mask it makes these birds look angry. Very volcal as it quickly hunts for insects.

Habitat:

These birds are mainly found in higher elevation in forests.
