Field Notes

Description:

leaf mimicking frog, vertebral stripe, pointed snout, check out its camouflage in the last photo

Habitat:

leaf litter, rainforest at 500m

Notes:

The camouflage on this species certainly fooled me. I didn't notice this frog until I practically stepped on it at Brownsberg Nature park. Once I noticed it, it stayed fairly still and calm and let me photograph him. I can't believe how 'flat' it appears in the second photo, don't think I've seen another amphibian like this.
