Not according to that source, which is a pretty reliable one. I would be comfortable saying it is Crucibulum laeve if there are cords though
Too funny. I still had the nests I picked and they are really dry and hard. I thought they all had those cords?
Ok so I think I narrowed it down to the genus Crucibulum. Either Crucibulum laeve or Crucibulum parvulum. I don't know if I can be certain either way unless you still have them and can check if there are "tiny cords that attach the eggs to the nest," in which case they would be Crucibulum laeve http://www.mushroomexpert.com/crucibulum_laeve.html
Machi, They look smooth. I picked one clump off and will post it if that helps. Doreen
What was the outer surface of the "goblet" like? Shaggy or smooth? http://www.mushroomexpert.com/birdsnests.html
