Field Notes

Description:

A large, somewhat turkey looking bird. Plumage is blue-grey with white spots. The naked head may vary geographically, but it is mainly blue and red, with cheek wattles and pale casque on the crown.

Habitat:

Observed in a small group, near the water points in a protected savanna/woodland of Mukuvisi, near Harare
