Description:
Tall slender light grey crane 0.7-1.3m tall.The Brolga is a large grey crane, with a featherless red head and grey crown. The legs are grey and there is a black dewlap under the chin. Brolgas are well known for dancing displays.

Notes:
The brolga formerly known as the native companion, is a bird in the crane family. It has also been given the name Australian crane, a term coined in 1865 by well-known ornithological artist John Gould in his Birds of Australia.
