Field Notes

Habitat:

Suburban neighborhood

Notes:

This bird was traveling in a small flock. They were roosting in this ash tree across the street from my house. The Cedar Waxwing’s flight call is a thin and high-pitched trill. They are named for the wax-like appendage on the primary wing feathers.
