Field Notes

Description:

This species is typically greenish with a brown to orange border around the edges of the wings. Some individuals though can appear bright blue. The wings of Ormenoides have a single crossvein on the forewings, and the wings are rounded apically rather than being truncate.

Habitat:

This hopper was found in our garden in Windwardside, at the foot of the Volcano, Mount Scenery, on Saba in the Caribbean Sea.
