Orange-crowned Warbler

This bird was feasting on termites that were in the middle of their annual hatch. By the time I went outside, the warblers and flycatchers ate practically all of them. The namesake orange crown is seldom visible in the field, so I will go on about identification. The OCW is mostly olive green with much or little breast streaking. Its back and wings are darker than its front. The first one I saw was at a little pond called Weist Lake in Imperial County. It was skulking around in the thick brush.
