Some specimens from each look close. I will just leave it at the genus unless someone can help me further distinguish the two species
Agree with the genus, but it also could be Napauctus peregrinus. http://bugguide.net/node/view/358108/bgpage http://bugguide.net/node/view/469097/bgimage http://bugguide.net/node/view/718905/bgimage http://bugguide.net/node/view/355601/bgimage?from=0 I am sceptic if we can separate them from the pictures we have. Personally I would go with Naupactus cf. peregrinus or being more sceptic Naupactus sp.
Got it, you wanna know now or you wanna try yourself ;-)...
Hmm, probably not. Look for a darker median line, a darker thin line at the margin (#2), then a brighter and broader stripe and a darker lateral base of the elytra as shown in your #3.
What do you think about Aphrastus taeniatus?
Curculionidae. Try Entiminae, Borad-nosed Weevils. http://bugguide.net/node/view/22777/bgpage
