Description:

Small brown beetle about 7 mm long with a very long and slender beak.

Habitat:

It was on the side of the house by the porch light in Oak Woodland

Thank you Neil and Lauren! These Weevils are quite comical looking. It's hard to imagine the females using the long beak to bore into hard nuts and acorns. Lauren, I never thought to add the taxonomy names to the tags. I really appreciate the suggestion! I'll definitely start adding them.
He's a funny little guy. And he has antennae on his beak which looks like a long nose. How amazing! Great spotting, Cindy.
You should add to your tags the scientific and common names so that people can find your pictures, ie: add Curculio, Acorn Weevil, Curculionidae, etc.
