Species ID Suggestions

SukanyaDatta, yes you are right. By providing at least a genus, it does help a lot. I am able to ID a number of observations from the genus suggestion of others. The suggestion at least point us to the right direction.
You know, I am noticing a trend...I tend to get the genus right most of the time :) but at the species level I get derailed! But I look at it this way...I am learning and in the process am maybe pointing someone in the right direction. Glad you got the ID.
FloraSingapura have a very good description of the difference between A.scholaris and A.angustiloba. Since the plant is not a road side plant, it is probably native.
SukanyaDatta, thanks. Did not see your comment earlier. It probably is. My FB group also suggest A.scholaris.
Probably Alstonia. Yet to determine exact gendre.
stho002 thanks for your suggestion. I tried Google search with the family name suggested but can't find any picture that could match.
Looks like Alstonia scholaris baby plant. We call it Sapta-parni = seven-leaf one. It grows to be a biggish tree...insignificant flowers have a sickly sweet, cloying scent.
