Field Notes

Description:

A pretty geometrid moth with a wing span of about 20 mm. Both wings were generally dark with bands of broad and narrow white patterns. The submarginal areas show a delicate scalloped white line which appears to go across both fore ad hind wings. Also the mid region of each fore wing and near the costal margin was a diffuse patch of white with a black speck.

Habitat:

Spotted in a nature reserve with mixed native trees.
