Description:
Large fruiting bodies with a lovely pinkish tan hue. Most were 3-4 cm wide with a hairy, white upper surface and gill-like folds on the under surface.
Habitat:
Habitat: Growing on rotting wood in a mixed forest.
Notes:
Although it is considered inedible in the United States and Europe, this species is widely consumed in other parts of the world. Also, it may have immunomodulatory, antifungal, and antiviral properties.
