Field Notes

Description:

Small butterfly of about 3.5cm wingspan. Brown base colour with orange and white markings on both wing pairs; wings have a fringe of white hairs; body is also brown with hairs on thorax.

Habitat:

Found in 'El Cimatario', a national park in semi-arid area just outside the city. The rainy season is now in full swing and many animals are venturing out.
