Description:

White wild indigo (Baptisia alba) is in the bean family Fabaceae. It is native to central and eastern North America. It can grow to 4 ft tall. A bushy perennial with smooth leaves and white or cream-colored pea flowers in stiffly erect clusters; stem covered with whitish bloom.

Habitat:

Spotted at the edge of a woodland at the bald Knob National Wildlife Refuge in Arkansas.
