Field Notes

Description:

Tiny bird with a brilliant red crown, white front and dark wings.

Habitat:

Outside Bangkok city proper; closer to Ayutthya. In a Parking lot near the palace. The others were getting down from the van parked under a tree. It was very sunny and hot so I went and stood in a covered area where the two-wheelers were parked as I waited for the others to reach me. As I looked towards them I saw some movement in the tree and clicked without really expecting my camera to get something usable. What luck!
