about 3/4 of an inch long, fuzzy buff and hot pink wings, light yellow head and body. Sitting still on evening primrose leaf, head wedged into bud cluster

Habitat:

evening primrose leaf, shaded by lilac and maple, next to asphalt drive in side yard
