Field Notes

Description:

So well camouflaged in the rocks and dirt of the trail that I would not have seen it if it hadn't moved! About an inch long and 1 1/4 inches wide. Brown, tan, black and white.

Habitat:

Subalpine on Blackwall Peak, Manning Park, BC. Wildflower meadows, rocks, some trees.

Notes:

Sure not as flashy as some of the gorgeous moths out there, but beautiful in a subdued way.
