Field Notes

Description:

Evergreen perennial with a cluster of pink flowers at the top of the stem.

Habitat:

Lightning Lakes trail in Manning Park, Cascade Mountains, BC. Mixed forest, mainly fir.

Notes:

Pojar and MacKinnon says Prince's Pine has shown hypo-glycemic (blood sugar lowering) and anti-diuretic (urine reducing) properties in research experiments!
